Habitat works to eliminate barriers to a better, healthier, more financially stable life. With our help, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better future for themselves and their families.
Habitat addresses the need for affordable housing by providing safe, decent homes to qualified families in need. Our projects include rehabbing houses as well as building houses on vacant lots. Costs of the homes are kept low through donations of property, gifts-in-kind for materials, cash donations to our building fund, and by using volunteer labor wherever possible.
Despite these economical components, the cost of providing a home in Warren County may exceed $100,000. Our challenge is to continually assemble the properties, materials, funds and labor to address the affordable housing crisis in our county.
