For the third year in a row, proceeds of the OK4WD annual OKtober Truckfest event have been donated to WCHFH. Owner Jim Oostdyk donated an amount exceeding $6,400. The funds will be applied to construction costs of the Habitat Veterans Build.
The Truckfest has become a much anticipated community event. Hundreds of vendors and enthusiasts registered their vehicles for the festivities. The show featured vehicle displays, awards, demonstrations, live music, and other activities. Admission was free to the public, and funds were raised through raffles and registration fees.
Christie Vinson of OK4WD was happy with the success of the Truckfest, and working with the WCHFH team. “We’re thrilled to be able to help an organization with such an admirable mission and high community impact,” she related.
Ben Eskow, WCHFH Executive Director, thanked Jim and his team. “OK4WD has been an amazing supporter of Habitat through the years,” he began. “Without their continued backing, and that of other companies and organizations, Habitat would not be able to make progress in addressing the county’s affordable housing crisis. Our partner families, employees and volunteers thank OK4WD for their incredible generosity.”
