ATTENTION FRIENDS OF HABITAT!
WCHFH participates in the Habitat for Humanity Veterans Build Initiative. The initiative was created by Habitat for Humanity International to honor veterans by offering housing and employment opportunities, volunteer engagement, and education. Throughout the year, Habitat for Humanity offers special events that pay tribute to veterans, raise awareness and mobilize volunteers.
This Veterans Day, we are very excited to announce that three special events are taking place within our affiliate to thank our Veterans and Active Duty Military for their sacrifice and service to our country!
Veterans Build Day, November 10th
In 2017, Veterans Chair Bob Pesaniello arranged a Veterans Day ceremony to honor the brave men and women who served this country. It was held at the then-current Habitat build site. More than fifty people attended the ceremony, which included an honor guard, and a bagpiper.
When veterans in attendance were called to the front of the assembly, nine members of the crowd emerged. Included were a number of members of the WCHFH building team, including Partner Mom Heather Freeman.
This year, you are invited to visit the current build site to attend the Veterans Build Day. It will be held on Saturday, November 10th at 12:00 PM and will honor those who have served. The build site is located at 2804 Belvidere Road, Phillipsburg, NJ (Harmony Township).
Private Sale, November 12th
The Habitat ReStore is normally closed on Mondays. But on Monday, November 12th, it will opened exclusively for the use of veterans and active duty military and members of their families.
The event will be held from 9:00 AM to 12 noon. Veterans will receive a $40 gift certificate to be used at the ReStore.
The ReStore is located at 394 Route 57 West in Washington, NJ.
Update!
Monday, November 12th, the ReStore was open to Active Duty Military, Veterans and their families for a private shopping experience. Gift Certificates and refreshments were offered.

ReStore Sale, November 13th
Finally, the ReStore will open to the public on Tuesday, November 13th.
All shoppers will be able to take advantage of a 30% off sale for items taken at the time of purchase.
